Charlie almost choked!

So i was setting up an old spare cage outside today to become an outside cage for charlie as taking his 2x2x4 cage out of my basement up the narrow stairwell and outside is really not fun. So i put him in, had some shefflera in a pot outside i decided to throw in and cut smoe stems off a tree and threw it in the pot so he has some shade.

Next thing i know i see him shoot at a rock from the pot and it went in his mouth and he shut it! i quickly grabbed him and got him to open his mouth and i couldnt reach it with my fingers and i panicked and held his mouth open and shook the rock out (right after a nice chomp to my finger). Hes safe now but i am so glad i was watching him or i would of never of known he ate the rock (that was about 1cm by 1cm . A word of advice for people who take there chams to new enviornments. DONT TAKE YOUR EYES OFF EM!

Wow, that's horrible. It's a good thing you were watching him or he may have had some serious impaction to deal with.

OMG! That must have been so scary! I would swithc those pebbles to larger ones that aren't mouth sized to prevent him doing it again.

there were actually no pebbles it was just soil! and i seen him stick out his tounge and i was like?? whats he trying to eat and BAM i seen the rock and he was trying to chew it! at first i thought it was just dirt but then i heard the crunching and looked again and i was like CRAAAAAAAP! and i took him squeezed his mouth and shook him and he spat it out. I almost had a heart attack! So not iv got large rocks in the pot that are bigger than his head
