chameleon trying to escape?

Same issue, any answer?

Hi I am experiencing something very similar with my Ambilobe. He is normally happy to come out of the viv and eats fine and drinks normally. The viv is also quite large but not as nice as yours and lately he has not eaten much and doesn't seem to drink and just sits at the bottom of the viv in such a similar position almost all day. If he comes out he may wander a bit but mostly just sits in the same position looking around. Don't think he has shed v recently but this is the first time he has been like this since we got him as a baby. He will scratch at the viv too which is odd for him to do so much. He is about 10 months old?
Can anyone shed some light on this strange behaviour? :(

I've chameleons do this to regulate body temperature the bottom if the cage is cool while the top is hot, mine does this on a really hot day and when my room gets too hot, he Probaly just quite likes the cooled bottom if the tank, as long as he's not spending all the time down there and isn't sleeping during the day down there you should have nothing to worry about :)
