Chameleon Supplements

I am currently feeding my chameleon with two supplements, reptivite with D3 (every monday) and reptivite without D3 (everyday). I make sure to thoroughly dust each feeder before I feed it to the chameleon. But someone suggested that I use another supplement as well, but I'm not sure what supplement it is? Or if I need it based off my cham's current feeding schedule.

Supplements do depend somewhat on your type of chameleon, as well as if they receive direct sunlight or not. But, to give you an idea, this is our schedule for our panthers and veileds:

Herptivite - Once a month
Reptivite w/D3 - Once a month
Repcal w/D3 - Once a month
Repcal without D3 - All other feedings

Proper gutloading of your feeders is just as important as proper supplementation. Brad's site, which Summoner linked to is a good place to start, and you can then tweak your supplementation schedule to fit your particular chameleons needs.

I am also limited to Repcal with d3 and Reptivite without. This is all thats avail here and I beleive there is some issue with import of such products
to my country. Both the above are manufactured here.
Never the less, our Reptile vets recommend them and no problems so far. :)
note: Not many keepers use either, some of them very experienced keepers for many years,
so I imagine good old sunshine does the trick. And its free!

If you meant me, I use these...:)

Phosphorous free, calcium & vitamin D3 supplement for reptiles and amphibians. Maintaining a correct calciumphosphorous (Ca:P) ratio in the diet of 1:1 to 1:5:1 is equally important nutritionally as adequate calcium intake. Commonl used food sources such as crickets, meal worms and mice contain high levels of phosphorous and low leveols of calcium. Repti-Cal assists in balancing the Ca:P ratio by providing a natural phosphorous free calcium source.
