Chameleon stressed when I turn lights on

Hello guys! So today I forgot to turn my chameleons lights on at 10am, then once at work realized I had forgot about her lights. So didn’t turn them on till about 1pm and she was this very light green, then as soon as I turned them on she gets all spotted and stressed. I didn’t notice she was stressed when I turn her lights on till today when I saw how bright she was without them. Does anyone know why she would be doing this?

Firstly put your lights on a timer. Problem sorted and see how you go from there

Your stressing her out and throwing off her day/night cycle. As said you need a timer for your lights. It is important they are on 12 hours and total darkness for 12 hours.

I’ve noticed that they are somewhat creatures of habit and get used to their routines. Every night about an hour before lights go out mine all start moving to their sleep spots.

My girl too they need a routine so they can find i comfortable place to hide and sleep as they are vulnerable animal in the wild
