IMO females can be more rewarding than males. Besides the egg factor, IME theyre friendlier than males and can sometimes have better colors

We took Mojo to the vet and we were confirmed that she has dystocia,egg bound. They gave her fluids, calcium and oxytocin. That was on Thursday. Vet said we had a 50/50 chance of her making it. And if it works we should have eggs within 24 - 48 hrs. Well we are passed 24 hours and still no eggs. She just lays there. She won’t eat. She hasn’t dug the first hole. And now her eyes are sinking in. I think we are about to lose her.

He suggested me taking her to a surgical specialist that could get the eggs out. But he said it would cost at least $1500

A chameleon vet should be able to do the surgery....but the chameleon has to be well enough to have it done.

Sadly euthanasia at a vets might be the best option?
