chameleon squishing his eye

Just got my chameleon and I’ve seen him squish his eye against prices of wood a few times, he seems fine after but I don’t know why he’s doing it. Any help

It may be nothing or you may need to adjust your husbandry. Without knowing specifics on your husbandry it is difficult to help you.
