So as I move towards an eventual free range, I have been doing a lot of reading. Just about every thread talks about "chameleon proofing" the area.
Being as this is my first cham I don't really know what cham proofing the room entails. So far I have blocked all the air vents so he cant climb on them if he gets to the floor of my room, but what else should I be watching out for?
As it stands right now I just let him crawl around plants on my desktop so I am always here when he is out of his enclosure, but I would like to be able to have a more permanent suspended structure for him to chill if he chooses on his own with me gone out the room because I am guessing he likes being out of his cage (who wouldn't?!) judging from how he acts once he is back inside.
