Chameleon Olympics

The olympics are upon us so I figured we should demonstrate the amazing abilities of our little friends. I give mine some exercise by hand feeding in hard to reach places. When she tethers her tail, stands up, and stretches way out it’s really a sight to behold! What crazy contortions can your Cham do?

I know! She climbs as close as possible to food before using her tongue so this the only way I get her to get full tongue extension. I do it once in a while to keep her tongue flexible.

So amazing! Mine runs for cover when he sees the cup coming. He will only eat when I’m in the other end of the room.
I expect that'll change when he figures out you're not going to EAT him. Just part of "establishing trust".

When he was little and sitting on a dowel, any time I'd open the door, he would slide around to the far side of the dowel—trying to hide behind it. It was actually pretty funny to watch. After a few weeks, he became less shy/afraid, but would still usually wait until I left before he'd dig in to chow.

Now when he sees me coming shaking that cricket cup (dusting), he comes right over to the feeder run cup. If my hand gets too close (intruding upon his space) I'll still get an occasional gape, but that's getting better as well.

All in their own time—they're all different.
