chameleon not eating?

I got my baby veiled chameleon friday, and the the first day he ate about 5 small crickets. The next morning I set some in his cage and left a cup in there for him, I only saw him eat once. Today I did the same thing but I I haven't seen him eat any. Is it normal for baby veileds to not eat tol much the first few days. He won't starve himself will he? I think he's basking right now because he hasn't moved in an hour from his spot. I saw him drink water today so maybe he's just not hungry.

First few days I had Karmen she didn't eat much, put it down to the strss of the move, now I can't stop her from grabbing the food when i'm trying to dust it :)

That's what I figured. It doesn't help that I had to handle him yesterday to get his cage perfect for him. I'll leave him alone for a while, I just didn't want my little guy going hungry.

Once he gets settled in, should take a week or two he should be eating like a pig. My veiled would eat 20-25 crickets a day and more if he could. Just give him some time and maybe try free ranging the food. That might get his interest.

I left about ten in there and left him alone for a couple of hours and could only find two or three. Then when I checked on him he got another one in front of me. Thanks everyone!
