Chameleon is eating werid unedible stuff for some reason

Before my chameloen had MBD he used to climb on my table and suddenly start eating a orange foam plastic thing for some reason, he didnt just try eat it once, but almost every time i take him out. Any reason how? and if he wants to fruits/vegatables how do i feed him since he is sick now thx yall

I'm hope you didn't let him eat anything he shouldn't.
If your chameleon is a panther it won't likely eat fruit or veggies.

Very weird for sure. My guy tried to eat shiny things...quarters, metal pencil tips, etc. I eventually realized it meant he wanted water. So whatever it is your guy is trying to tell you, just make sure it's healthy for him

So your chameleon has MBD? Is he being treated for it? Can you post some pictures of him??
