Chameleon Depression?

I think my little panther had a bad day yesterday. It hid all day in the back of the cage and only came out when I poured in some hydeis. I really don't even think it basked yesterday as far as I know. I kept checkin on it and it was alert and was moving about back there but just staying hidden. Today however it is back to normal all over the cage basking for heat and moving to bask for UVB. So does anyone elses chams ever have depressed days?

Not yet and I hope not because that would worry me. Glad he's okay

My male does that sometimes. Sometimes he goes to the bottom of the cage and hangs out. Its weird but he still eats and drinks fine.

My litte guy seems to go in to depression sometimes as well. It's sad when he gets like that because all he does is sits in his sleeping spot and like you said won't move around and bask like usual. I worry when he gets in that mood as well! It's not often but it happens here to. My veiled on the other hand don't know if it is because of his age 9-10mo old or what but he seems to always be depressed no matter where I stick the cage, what I add to try and make him comfortable or what I do for him. I have come to accept he is just an unhappy Cham and nothing I can do to change it since I have tried and failed.

Glad its not just me my guy is currently like running around its cage I've never seen it this active. It is going from heat to UVB and back maybe its making up for yesterday.

When my Cham get's in his moods I give him his Zoloft and he's back to his old self again in no time. j/k
