If you really want to do it, expect Permits, inspections, shipping, and the animal itself to run you somewhat more than $1000 dollars.
Would love to know where you get that number.

thanks croma, thats the first step i would take in obtaining any new chameleon. WC or CB/CH
woodsball, no offence taken, and my post wasn't meant to be a debate about how healthy WCs are. im sure that you can 100% trust the hybrid of the breeders coming from croma and nation, but obviously every colour, every pattern, etc, will be different with every chameleon. even solid pure breads as you put it. yes, same locale, same breed, but just like a zebra, no chameleon is the same.
i hope im on track with you lol.
anywho,
What the heck does seniority level have to do with where you're pulling numbers from?you look at the seniority level. senior members tend to know a little more then levels down.
Yes.you still want numbers?
I understand the concerns over the price of Panthers. If you can't barely afford the cham , what will you do if a vet bill arises? For the budget minded , consider a veiled.
How healthy WCs are??? There is no debate on that. The only debate on that is that you are insinuating that they are better than spending the money on a WC instead of a CB. Honestly, that is the last thing the OP needs to spend money on. As was said in a way, They come beat up, malnourished, dehydrated etc etc. This is what YOU suggested to the OP instead of letting him know that there are reputable breeders of panthers in Canada. Sorry, but very bad advise on your behalf.

Yes.
Considering I've talked to Drew about this several times, and Harry a little bit, I'm wondering where that extra 300-400$+ you're calculating in is coming from.
I know that getting your CITIES permit is now 200$ (it used to be 100), and inspection I think is 150-200(used to be 100 I think).
It used to not break the bank on single orders to import in, the main issue was the time it took to get the permits approved.
its more about CITIES permits and inspection, its also about quantity and minimum requirements in some cases. did you not read properly, that some importing companies will not send 1 or 2 animals at a time? its gotta be quantity for them to be worth wild.
I was asking about that number specifically.Originally Posted by SpinyFranky

than what else is there to answer?, frankys post is your answer. all of that included in what he said easily comes up to a grand or more..
if this was done, dont you think alot more WCs would be in a healthier state upon purchase?
That's great.
You keep believing those "senior members" who pull numbers out of their asses.
I'll listen to the people that do deal with CITIES and that import regularly.
