Today as I was (tong) feeding my veiled chameleon Cosmo, I was able to hand feed him one of his favorite treats, a superworm. He happily took it and quickly gobbled it down but as a went to tong feed him more food, he coughed it right back up. It was dead but as soon as it happened he looked at me scared and became spotted and puffed up (I wasn't stressing him out he trusts me and never freaks out like this when I feed him). He quickly became uncomfortable and I felt so bad, he is a male veiled chameleon around 3 months and this has never happen before as far as I know. He seems fine now so I think maybe it was just a little too much for him, but the weird thing is is that the worm I fed him seemed a bit bigger than the worm he coughed up, but I might just be imagining that.
