Chameleon colors

While this does not help me with my chameleon, or help me take care of it, it does help me understand something. Id like to know how it will look when my chameleon gets its color, My chameleon is 3 months old and a ambilobe panther chameleon, I know they will get their colors in around 3 months i just want to know how it will happen. Will they shed and get all their colors at once, will they grow their colors 1 by one, or will i just suddenly wake up and they will have them.

ahhhhh i see so the colors each creep up individually, my chameleon has the faintest red but its visible

My ambilobe panther was all greens and blues at first, then he got red, and finally he goes red/orange/cyan when he fires up.

i see, the red in my chameleon is very faint so i would not be surprised if it was a different color that came first

id also like to know whether their colors come after shedding or if they slowly come in normally

red takes the longest to develop on multi color panthers...unless it is the dominant base color... I have base color green babies and base color red babies.....green always turns to yellow when fired up...it may not completely turn yellow but it usually does
