Chameleon climbing to uvb light

I have the right uvb light but my chameleon keeps climbing to the uvb bulb should try and get him down or is this normal

It’s completely normal. He will continue to do it until he gets bigger and it becomes too much work. As long as your cage is set up properly, there is nothing to worry about.

Is he climbing the very top of the enclosure? Like the ceiling ?

If he is and continues to do so you will want to raise the light abit so he doesn’t get burned
