Mine will behave that way just before a shed. He gets a little less active and the yawning is stretching his skin in anticipation of shedding. When was his last shed?

Yeah, sounds like it is about time for him to shed if its been 31 days. How old is he? When i got my amilobe pair at 6 months of age, they both shed about every 2 weeks for the first couple of months, and now at a year and a half, they go more than a month between sheds

hes about 7 months.

I would make sure you keep the cage well misted for the next couple of days to help him shed. The only time my male seems to like the mist falling on him is when he is in the middle of a shed. You might try putting him in the shower for a while. If you have a large plant, you can place it in the shower and aim the shower head at the wall to get indirect flow onto the plant. If you do this, make sure the water is room temp or slightly above. Dont want to scald you cham.
