Cham throwing up??? =(

Ok im freaking out!! i just went to go check on my cham for lights out at 10:30 and she opened her mouth up really wide and and lowered her head down and let her tongue down slowly until it was fully extended and a she spit a small piece of a cricket out. She did this twice. I really concerned as what would cause this. If anyone can give me any hints as to what would cause this i would be grateful. :(:(:(

I don't know anything about the throwing up, hopefully a more experienced member will pop in, but I would turn her lights off if that's what she is used to. Continue to watch her.

When was the last time she ate? Sometimes if a chameleon can't digest the food fast enough, they will throw it up. If this continues, try smaller food but carfully monitor her eating and pooping habits. If your really worried, take to vet to make sure she does not have bacteria issues or virus.
Also, does your chameleon have a good lighting and basking site? (from the video, I don't see a heat light for basking)

also i did see her snatch up a cricket that must have hopped out of her cup from earlier around 8pm maybe. Is it bad if they eat too close to before they are about to go to sleep? She is eating a drinking fine

Nice looking set-up. hey we have some great weather this weekend, maybe you can treat her with some direct SUN. :) (mine love to bask for hours)
Also, do you have a male with her? She was displaying her (unreceptive) colors.
Maybe she is with eggs and just ate to much. My female has done that once or twice, but her tongue never came out like yours did in the video.
Keep up the great job!

I brought her out for some sun right now. She looks happy. I don't have any other chams just her. When I got her a few days ago she laid 27 eggs so I'm hoping that was all of them and she didn't retain any. Thinkin of giving her a shower just incase she might be dehydrated, any thoughts?

Here are some pics of her outside. I didn't want to stress her out and isn't used to me yet so I just took her whole cage outside :)
She is chillin next to my koi pond now gettin some natural sun

WOW! She sure does look happy. Do you ever plan on breeding her? Not everyone is into having little ones.
A nice spraying would be fine, she probably won't like it.
(how do you add pics on here?)

She is my only cham so no chance of her having babies :( unless someone else local ends up having a lonely male when shes bigger lol

she seems much happier after a good 2.5 hours outdoors :D

to add pics you just go to additional options and click the button that says manage attachments. I do this all off my iphone so its really easy

Wow I didn't like that video at all. I would have been very worried too. Did you look to see if she could possibly have mucous or something in the back of her mouth?

How is she feeling now?

Her mouth looked clean. I spent all day monitoring her. I gave her a 30 min shower with the shower head pointed at the wall to give her a nice warm mist. She turned really bright green in the shower with yellow and black markings. She seems fine now she is just basking under her lamp although she has only eaten a couple crickets today.

she looks very very dehydrated in that last shower pic i would keep the showers going and keep the humidity up for a few days at least. her eyes are very sunken.

I'm in Chino, my male is 10 months old now, I might be interested

maybe i will have to study up on taking care of the eggs and making sure my girl is healthy enough to breed. It will be a while tho since she is still pretty young. :D
