Cham sleeping on floor ?

So my little guy bob decided to sleep on some river stones I have under my plant on the ground is that normal or is that weird?

you really can't see anything from your picture but it is unusual for them to sleep on the ground. There probably is not anything wrong though and I have seen it on rare occasions on here.. I don't think I have ever had either of mine sleep on the floor but I had one fall asleep toward the bottom on the rim of the plant pots.

I have never seen any cham except brookesia sleep on the floor.
They dont want to make themselves easy prey for preditors.

Does he do this a lot?

No he does not

Have you made any changes recently? Is he new? I've had a couple of chameleons do this their first night in a new cage.
