this isnt exactly photography but i made this little gif and i was wondering if anyone else had cham gifs they would want to post. if you havent done it before its super easy and its cool to see what you can do.

anyways heres the first gif of my new cham :)

thats sick man! you should make these as avatars for us members :)
 
so basically you need some pictures (whodathunk!?) be it from taking stills from video (which is what i did) or taking rapid fire shots.

resize them smaller (itll make it easier/faster) then you can google gif generator or gif creator - then you simply upload the pictures in the correct order (i rename mine 123/abc when i resize them for this purpose) pick your speed/size on the website and usually click generate or create and boom. done.

i have used photoshop to make gifs as well but the online generators are easier.

if you want to use the site i used its imator.com
 
I'm generally rubbish with computers - I don't even know how to get stills from my films......I'm sure I could work it out, but I'm too lazy about technology unless it's as easy to use as youtube, lol

i will make them for anyone who wants one if they send me the pics

as far as icons, i know the one i made is too big for an icon so ill have to try and make it smaller but i dont know if itll be small enough to use.

anyways yeah. anyone who wants a gif PM me and im happy to put it together for you especially if other people can post them.

You can't use .gifs as forum avatars unfortunately. :( Brad said (mind you this was a long time ago) to me that it makes the forum look a little less than bueno. Not his exact words of course. ;)

I've seen a lot more of .gifs used lately thanks to sites like Tumblr. I think some people use Gimp to do it?
 
that seems reasonable to me, it could get extremely annoying fast! i have only used gimp a few times so i couldnt help anyone out there but im sure there are tutorials on youtube or something.
