Cham acting wierd

I have a 6 month old veiled cham. I have a 24''W 24''L 48''H cage with a pothos, and a dracena in it. He munches on both of these plants. I mist him regularly and he drinks from a dripper. I have crickets available to him that are gut loaded.

My problem is that my cham roams around the cage, he will walk on the floor of the cage and climb up and down the mesh that make up the walls of the cage. I dont know if this is normal, I have about 24 feet of fake vines in the cage but he still climbs the wall. Its almost like he is trying to get out of the cage. I don't know if the cage is too small or this is just normal behavior fir veileds.

if anyone has some insight, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I used to have a few custom built enclosures that were huge. About 4'x4'x8' to be exact. I housed a male veiled chameleon in the one. He was all over the walls, walking along the bottom and always hanging from the roof. He was about 8 months old at this time. I put a female in with him and he went right at her. After she went gravid, I removed her from the enclosure, and it seemed to calm him down a bit. He wasn't all over the place like he used to be. But he was more aggressive towards me and females after that.

So it could just be that he is starting to become sexually mature and beginning to have a bit of a sex drive
