certain trees that are toxic?

So, with all these tree branches being down from the hurricane, I figured I might as well harvest a few branches.

Now, obviously, anything with sap is out of the question, but I am more curious as to if there is any issue with certain barks or anything like that.

I would avoid any conifers for sure.
