Ceramic heat emitter

Hi!
So im starting to prepare for cold temperatures...just in case. Our studio is poorly insulated so if it gets cold outside, the room will be too. Lets not talk about running the heater in this economy

I was thinking of getting this ceramic heat emitter for him. Can I put this directly on the mesh on top of his cage? Or would it melt the mesh? Does anyone have one and could give me advice on how to set it up?

How cold is too cold to you? Can you move him into another room?

If you do this make sure you buy a fixture that is made for this bulb type. Deep dome would be best option so it lifts it higher off the cage top. Really really really monitor temps with this. These can produce thermal burns very easily so make sure he can not get close to it.

Like 30s-40s. Sadly we can't move him cause its the only room we have.

Should I maybe just get a small space heater then? It sounds a little scary tbh.

Can you move him into a bedroom? I used a space heater in the room when I lived in Northern Cali on the coast. We only had gas furnace in the living room so I had to run a space heater on low on my room for the room to stay above 55.

The radiator heaters really are not that expensive to run and they do a really good job warming up a room.

He pretty much is in our bedroom we have a studio part so we pretty much just have 1 room and a bathroom.

Would the space heaters dry out the air?

Arcadia has a deep heat projector..that sounds a bit safer than a ceramic heat emitter?
I just want to be prepared tbh.

Ok question how can you handle 30-40's?

I will always vote a space heater over a CHI. I have seen too many thermal burns from them. I did not notice it drying out the air but I also lived in a higher humidity area.
