catching wild insects ?

Just read Swaynes informing post. I missed it xD
I don't think I could cut the pray mantis's arms off.. so maybe I should just stick to breeding my own food.!

Haha! The only reason I would do that is right before they are being fed and because they could seriously harm a cham. In this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1yIXXes5wI the owner does not take off the pincers and that is the only thing I would be worried of as a result (not to take away anything from the owner).

The nuclear power plant thing shouldn't be an issue... I mean, if you're not mutated none of the insects around you should be ;)

If you were to collect the insects, just look over them thoroughly and make sure there is nothing abnormal about them.

Do you have to take the arms off the smaller ones too bc i have a 5 month old yemen cham that i want to feed and the eggs havnt hatched yet so i can see him eating the babys whole . I was thinking when the mantis get half there adult size i would then chop off the arms for safety Reasons and feeding the babys off will see if he likes them in the first place before i go and chop off the legs of a wild one and find out that mine will not eat it bc i think mantis are cool insects And are very helpful to the ecosystem
