How long can a carpet chameleon last without food or water.

As long as it's in a juvenile+ stage without food I would say around 1 week-2 weeks safely depending on whether it was healthy to begin with. Without water... I would never want to go more than 2 days... why the heck is a carpet chameleon going without food or water?

Can imagine he's asking for when he goes on holiday.
If he has no one willing to look after his chameleon there can be an issue there.

I got someone to look after the watering of my chameleons but I usually don't expect that person to also feed them so I feed them before I go and leave a bunch of fly pupae in tje enclosure so they have something to hunt over the next few days.

I would get a mist king mister and then just have someone come by and fill it. Other than that fill their cups with worms and various types and do fly pupae.

I am still planing to get a chameleon an I'm wondering what if could do when I go on vacation

We have a young chameleon enthusiast come in every couple days to feed and fill the mister reservoir. Your vet may have someone they can recommend who pet sits dogs and cats that is willing to learn what to do. Many vet techs pet sit to make ends meet.

I was gone for about 4 days and have a veiled . I have an automatic mister which helps A TON and I would highly recommend you get one. As for food, a few days before I started feeding him a little more and before I left put some feeders in his cage I knew could not escape and possibly hurt him (I have heard of crickets chewing on chams at night)

Really I leave them in over night should I put cricket food in there ?
