I recently got a chameleon, but I need to know some things to watch for, and do to keep her healthy. I already have the cage, uvb bulb, calcium, vines, and food. I just want some good tips or something.
Gutload your bugs
Diversify the chameleons diet
You need more than just calcium
Take her outside for real sun if possible
Make it completely dark at night
Provide her with a proper egg laying bin
Don't feed many mealworms if any at all
Most important. ..research lots here.

Hydration is probably one of the biggest problems for pet chameleons. Invest in a a decent mister that won't be destroyed if it runs out of water (a MistKing) even though you only have one. They need water/mist to clean their eyes. Chronic low-level dehydration will cause kidney failure.
Mealworms have a tough shell that can cause digestive issues.
As far as outside goes , the longer the better. I bring mine out 3 times a week on average but obviously depends on weather. I live in hawaii so it's usually perfect most days

Very true about the hard shell for mealworms! They are a great for my guy. I'd him a few 1-2 times a week. The trick is.. after the mealworms shed, they are lighter than the rest. I feed my cham those BC they will be softer he enjoys his treats
