I let them interact a few times in a neutral cage so there is no advantage to either. If I see some major dislike of each other I separate immediately. If there is no threat to each other I just let them figure it out. The thing is the males get so hot to trot that it tends to end up on the floor of the cage as he has each of her legs grabbed by one of his and then he has his tail so twisted the first time I thought that he was just trying to kill her and freaked me out a bit til I noticed exactly what was going on. Seems nature finds a way, all be it a tangled mess of legs and tail.
