Cant drop some of the Shed

It seems like about every other shed he gets some of the shed skin stuck to the ridge of small spines across the middle of his back. Doesn't seem to bother him or his health but i was wondering if I should remove it/ if there was a way to make it completely come free when the rest of his shed comes off. I mist 3 times a day with warmer water when he's shedding (I've read on here it can make them more comfortable during the shed). And i have removed it once before when some got stuck to the top of his head for a week or so after the shed and he gave me the "i swear if you do that again, we aren't friends anymore" look. ( i know you all understand what I mean by that LOL). Any opinions/ideas welcome. TY and happy holidays.

I wouldn't reccomend pulling it off of his back as rubbing/touching his back is a sign of threat. I only pull mine off if it's skin dangling off his feet and he just can't get it off. You can put him in the shower by putting a plant in the shower, and using warm water, let the water hit off the wall and let the spray from it hit the plant (but not completely) and that should help him get it off easier. Lol and yes I've had my chams give me several of those looks.

Unless the skin is stuck onsomething and it is cutting circulation off ( i.e. tip of the tail or the toes) i would just shower him and not pull it off.
I ONLY help with the skin on my guys chin spikes, but that is only because no amount of shower, humidity, or rubbing seems to get them off for him, AND the skin has already 100% disconnected from the new skin, its just wont come off.
LIke taking a baseball cap off your head. its not attached, but its still 'stuck'

Can you put the baby oil on cutip and use around the eyes or will it come off on its own?
