,I took Latin in high school for a half a year and just couldn’t do it. Languages aren’t my thing.
Not Canadian but rather born in Australia and my born in the USA brothers had to relearn how to spell everything while in school down there. They will occasionally slip back and forth between spellings. One of them still writes his lower case "a" just as you see it here rather than with the down stroke at the end.
