My 5 months old ambilobe is acting really strange... his light come on at 7 and goes off at 5 pm .. ive had him for about a month and hes been eating and drinking well and pooping regularly but hes been always going to sleep early .... he usually goes to his sleeping spot 2 hrs prior to lights off.. sometimes he is juss chillin there and sometimes hes sleepjng.. And then today he try to bed down like at 1:45 pm !!! I dont know if this has to do with the the weather today...because I did notice he likes to settle down according natural daylight schedule regardless of shut curtains ...outside temps have been in ghd 50s here is sf bay area .. today was really cloudy and the sun went down around 5 .. please help.me!

My guy is ready for bed a few hours before normal lights out out. Lights on at about 9am and off at 9pm. Some days he's earlier and some nights lights off dictate sleep. Gotta think days are just how he feels.

What do I know!

All based on my observation.

Your lighting schedule should be 12 hours on and 12 hours off, I think to give them adequate exposure to the UVB light. My boys will often be in their sleeping positions an hour or so before lights out. I've not had them try to go to bed early in the afternoon though. But if it was a dreary day he may have been responding to that. I would keep an eye on him and if he doesn't do that again I wouldn't worry about it but if it becomes a regular occurance then that can be a sign of trouble and may necessitate a vet visit.

Yea its just throwing me off becuz I even. Changed the light schedule to 10 hrs becuz of this reason ... I kn I w it gets cold up here in the baybarea at times...but good thing is he is very active eater and defacates regulary.
