Nope and nope. I live on a lake. I go out to my dock and yell at them and warn them once a month to stay in their area or a 12ga is waiting! Who trusts an animal with no legs or emotions....not this guy!

They most certainly have emotions, and unlike chameleons we are fond of, can actually bond with their preferred human.

Chameleons are the emotionless ones, most can't even tolerate gentle consistent handling.:p

I live on a lake like I said so the snakes i see are water moccasins, pygmies and rattles. Those are not snakes you just say "whats up little guy" to since they can and will hurt your dogs and kids without provoking. A grass, rat, hog or racer i wouldnt kill since they are no threat.

Understandable, my brother ran over a rattler for the same reason over in cali. Has small kids. As much as I hate to kill an animal, I can get where you're coming from. My comment was intended for things that were of no immediate danger to anyone, like a non venomous snake, or any snake that wasn't able to harm someone.

Yes yes you can.

I keep this with mine. Isnt she pretty???

JK, I dont have her :( I would love to but she isnt legal in my state, I keep telling the wife we have to move, but she says we cant have her till the kids are grown :(.

Where are black mambas legal cause I will never live there! Cyber your one crazy man. That gets a elephant gun, forget the 12ga!

Lots of states. Of course you have to get a Venom Permit in a lot of said states, however my State AZ, doesnt allow permits for keeping venomous sadly.

Its legal for Venomman, and many other Venomous guys on YT.

I'll take my grumpy male panther over a snake any day. On that note if there is no food in my hand, my hand will be snapped at! Food he will climb on me for though, after the food is gone its a hurry the heck up or get bitten game. I feel so used.

The snake is likely smelling the food on your hand and that's why it's trying to bite you.

What snake is this?

A black mamba, a very friendly snake with medically insignificant venom. :D :p

I think viperkeeper is the best for venomous snake keeping information.

Hate to break it to you, but you live in an area where they are legal to own.:)

They bite when they feel cornered and have a long striking distance. Bites are deadly at least a third of the time from what I've read.

I'm definitely glad we don't have them in Canada.
