can cham's tell the difference between owner and guest?

I'm getting a cham and it will be living in a big house with 21 people, I and my gf will be its own care takers but ill be doing about 90% of it. Will the chameleon be able to tell if its me or just some random person?

my guy can tell the difference betwen people and even dogs hes is totally fine with my girlfreind, roommate and i as well as my dog but, he gets scared of my friends and my roommates dog.

Definitely. Chams have very acute vision. It may take a while for him to recognize different people (all humans look alike at first), but once he does he'll react differently to strangers.

Mine know who their daddy is and when i do let other people see them they don't like it at all its the only time they puff up and hiss but they do seem to love my female friend more then me they go nuts when she holds them!!!

big house with 21 people = a lot of stress...will he be able to be secluded?

dont worry about that, I have my own bedroom (where he will be set up in his cage)

Make sure there isn't a lot of vibration where he is. I dont know how old the others are, but if they are kids, vibration could become a problem.
