Just wondering if chams can see in the dark like they can during the day....kind of like nocturnal vision??

well im not sure. i used to have a infared light. but my panther would always be awake so i got rid of it. it dropped the temperature and now he falls alseep the whole night. but i dont think they have nocturnal vision. i just think if they hear something and they are awake they'll look towards the sound to try and see something.

chameleons cant hear

sorry ken
" they will feel the vibrations of any sound/movement that happens on either the branch/vine/or plant they are on". they dont have a outer or middle ear so they cant hear things in the air.

They do have an inner ear, which is why they sometimes will lose their balance if they get a bad URI, just like us with an ear infection.

I gotta say...chams DO "hear." Whether it's vibrations or something else, they not only feel/hear that on vines but yes also in the air as well. I talk to mine all the time and whenever he hears my voice, he looks towards me and 3/4 of the time will even walk towards me. He knows my voice so well that if someone else speaks in the room, he notices it but shows WAY less interest. So yes they definitely do hear sound, even sound in the air.
