Can anyone tell me what this is?????

I put Jabba in his outdoor enclosure and when I put him in there....I noticed this......(PIC) It looks like a crusty booger....Not sure.....Should I take him to the vet? Did not want to try and remove it not knowing what it was.

but seems like a seminal plug.
or, in worse scenario, a penile prolapse.

if it is a seminal plug, you can try to soak it with warm water and gently pull it out.

If it's a prolapse, keep the exposed hemipenis moist with KY Jelly.
Until your vet can put it back in or surgically remove it.

Holy snikers de ja vu! If it's constantly red or dark coloured like it appears to be...get him to the vets! I lost my male veiled as he had been this way a long time when I got him...but by the time I found this forum and the help it was too late. Good information was given to you, but if not a seminal plug, don't waste time in getting him to the vet! Good luck.

Howdy,

Gently pull on it and if it seems to be able to move then slowy pull it out. It may be about 1/2" long.
