cage switching?

I've been thinking if you moved your chameleons from cage to cage everyday would be like the wild chameleons moving from place to place exploring new places everyday

Good in concept but I would think it would stress them out too much...eventually they would get used to it but that would defeat the purpose of the switch.

so your saying i should make there choice to switch
I think what he's trying to say, is if you want to change it often, like everyday the chameleon would have to choose for himself to be almost "Natural". another way you could do this is by having a free range.

I would also agree that changing it everyday, would stress the cham out too much. In the wild they can choose, but with us we put them in a cage we think they would like and be suitable and they have to adapt to it. Putting one in a different cage everyday I think would be very stressful for the cham and would not be healthy. If you really want to create a habitat like he would have in the wild consider a free range.

I would compare what you are suggesting to me going out to the wild range of a chameleon and deciding what tree I wanted it to be on that day. It would not have a choice and would be stressed out by factors that may make this an undesirable location. It would also add stress to catch and move the chameleon each day.

Theveiled- i would probably let them change cages every week not every day handling a chameleon every day seems really stressful

I still think that if you do evey week, you should try to let the cham choose, because one cage he might like more than another, and may be happier in the cage you just switched him out of
