Cage switch

I moved my 3 month old Herbie to a big 2x2x4 cage and yes.. I know its large... But he was going insane in his smaller cage and the ficus was growing out of the mesh so I decided it was time to move... But my question is he isn't black, he doesn't appear to be stressed, but he refuses to move out of his ficus that WAS in his old cage... Is this just a homesick kind of reaction? Its only been 24 hours so Im not too concerned about him getting the food in the bowl higher in the cage, Im more concerned with him not getting heat or UVB from the bulbs higher on top... I feel like I should remove the ficus on one of the rare moments he leaves it to force him into the other plants... I have the cage covered with a sheet only removing it to mist so any advice out there would be helpful

i think he should be fine...if he needs to warm up he will go to the heat...i would just give him a few days to get use to his new pad
