Cage Lesson!

I learned the importance of cage size as I have a 2 month old female Calyptratus. Only seen her eat once and noticed that the crickets were still up on the screen but it seemed to me that it would be difficult for her to reach some areas due to being a little big for her and where the plantation was located. So I built this!

Thats cool: recycling! Yeah theyre only little for so long. For the first month or so i'm using a box bird cage with screen i salvaged wrapped around it. I know hoe unsanitary that sounds but its all cleaned up and boiled and bleached and ready to go

I found that out the hard way too. I have a male veiled that is very undersized due to that situation. I had him in a large cage and free range feeding him. I now cup feed him and he has since grown but I fear that he will never be the size he should be.
