Bump front left leg

My cham is about 5 months old and seems very healthy. Great appetite and fecal matter looks normal. Still has lots of energy.

I just noticed for the first time this morning that his front left leg looks slightly larger then the right leg. Depending on how his stance is, it appears as a small bump at times. I pressed on it lightly and it feels very hard and it didn't seem to change his attitude when I pressed it.

I supplement him with calcium and vitamins a few times a week.

Its hard to see in the pictures but it may just give an overall view of his health. He does not like it when I hold the camera up to him, he always flares up and challenges the phone. Definitely going to keep an eye on it to see if the condition worsens or if it shows up anywhere else.

I can't see the right leg to compare to, so it is hard to tell. From the pic you posted of the left, I don't see anything wrong. If you would just have posted a pic of him without an explanation, I would say he looks fine. Chameleons can get a condition, called gout like humans and it will settle in their joints and organs. I think he is very young for this to occur though as you usually see it in older chameleons. With that being said, he is a handsome little fellow!

Thank you! That makes me feel a lot better. I think you're right... I just feel responsible for his happiness and I just want to make sure he is a happy guy!
