I have read a little bit on here and other places and i just wanted to find out from the experts.....would it be possible to mate a male blue- bar ambilobe...with a female veiled??? what would happen...and is it possible to actually have offspring....would it be harmful to the female....hope you guys can help....thanks so much!!!

This question gets asked once a month on the forums.
The answer is No. They are different species.

lol ok....is it easier to breed panthers or veilds??? and how long does each process usually take?

They are both easy enough to get to mate. From mating to egglaying for both is about 30 days. Do not put them together unless they are receptive to each other.

Veiled eggs seem to be more tolerant of mistakes and thus seem to be easier to hatch. Hatching time can vary but ABOUT 6 to 8 months most of the time. I have heard of clutches going longer and some hatching quicker.

Egglaying can come with difficulties if your chameleon has any health issues or if your husbandry is not good for either species. Failure to provide a proper egglaying site (no matter if the eggs are infertile or fertile) can lead to eggbinding. Excessive egglaying is said to shorten their lives.

thanks....well whgen im ready ill be sure to talk with you gusy first...id like to do this inthe future....only when i have everything i will need...i never take on a new pet unless im financially ready.....ive read some stuff on here where people dont know what there doing and end up harming there animals......no fun in that!!
