My female veiled Helene has decided that the day after hurricane Milton was the best time to lay. I was expecting it, but not that day! She started laying as soon as I moved her and her plants back outside to her patio in the 15 minute span where I didn’t have a barrier to block her from digging in her plants. Such a little rebel lol. Never even dug a test hole or sniffed out the lay box, just went straight for the pot. After watching her all night I went out the next morning to find what I could use for substrate. Unfortunately only found fine vermiculite, so I’ll be switching the substrate as soon as I find fertilizer free pearlite or coarse vermiculite. Hopefully tomorrow if all goes well! Let me know if you see anything out of place in the pic below! I want to give these lil hurricane babies the best chance possible
