I dont know about any of that, but yes, being too cool can bring on respiratory issues. Just like you may catch a cold if you are in the cold too long.

They will need to do a swab, and a culture to see if there is infection, and if so what kind. After they know what kind of infection, they will decide what medication is best suited to fight it.
 
Oh and Iv notice he always seems to be in the colder area which is odd!

If the maximum temp you are providing is 75F, thats too low.

A basking of 90F is what youre after, with a temp gradient down to 75F-ish.

If hes staying away from the heat, and youre convinced hes doing it because hes too hot, then youre measurements are off.
 
No, digital is the best thing you can use. They give a more accurate reading, and the information is more real-time.

The sticky ones, and the analogue ones are slow to change, and dont give as accurate readings.

Good deal though, the vet should be able to tell you much more about his issue.
