Hey guys I was just wondering if you use Moss on the bottom of ur cage?... And if not what do you use to help keep the humidity up besides live plant/and spraying.

Not sure yet but I heard moss ain't good cuz of possible impaction. And people tend to use paper towels or nothing at all, still waiting on my cage to arrive so can't say from experience

I use peat moss mixed with sand and potting soil without perlite or styrofoam balls. The only time I ever lost one to impaction was when I used a potted plant that came from the store with perlite mixed in. It only takes a small piece of perlite to impact your chameleon.

The moss looks like it will keep moisture but I fear crickets will use to their advantage... I will most likely remove and just use paper towel instead before my little guy comes Friday.
