Bleeding

Hey guys,so my little guy has been going through a hunger strike and the vet told us to assist feed him. He's very stubborn and does. It like to have his mouth opened so we pull on his chin a bit to open his mouth. Today my sister noticed he was bleeding. Do you think it'll heal on its own or should we take him back to the vet ?

If you hold him flat in your hand
I would definitely take him to the vet. That eye thing is not normal either

Agree, he wouldn't do that if you had to fed him meds or food. Also I believe there is an easier way than how is pictured. You could let him grab your index and middle finger with his arms so his body is at the palm of your hand then grip him with the remainder three fingers. Then use two fingers of the other hand to gently open his mouth and give him the food. Well this is how I've seen the person give my chameleon mess do and he doesn't looked stressed or eyes pop out. Why isn't he eating on his own?

We tried doing that but he won't open his mouth. We literally spent like an hour at the vet having her trying to teach us how to feed him but he was being stubborn. The vet doesn't know he's healthy he just stopped eating and drinking

So he was eating then he stopped? It could be that he's tired of what you're feeding him. They like variations or if you give him a lot of his favorite foods hen he'll become stubborn and try to wait you out for it.

Still take him to the vet though for the bleeding...
