Black mark under Stanley's neck...

I haven't seen this before, any thoughts what it could be?

Poor little Stanley. My guess Lisa from the picture would be dirt, maybe a bruise or possibly a burn. Have you tried cleaning it to see if it's dirt?

Jann, I'm thinking it's a smudge of some sort.. Theres zero chance of it being a burn, nothing has changed in his cage and theres no heat source when hes outside...Dirt or poop maybe.. Gonna get some soap and water after him!
I'll let you know!

There is some odd colouring on the vine near him - maybe it is a stain from that? Other than that I would say its a bruise.

Most likely a smudge of some sort as mentioned.. I love how he's keeping one eye on that camera! Haha

well he wasn't too interested, or happy with me, in getting his neck washed!!!!!!!
i'm going to let him get a couple of good warm mistings and then a little rubbing with a soft cloth and see if that disapates it...
im still leaning towards a smudge,, it could be a bruise i suppose. just never seen one in person so not sure how it would look....
he seems fine otherwise, gobbled up several silkies as i tried to distract him from the washing!!!!
