Looks like a bruise to me, but I can't back that up. Just going off of Pascal's ordeal, she got some bruising going on.

It does appear to be a bruise. no worries about it. it will go away in time.

Most likely it is a bruise from a bug bite. Make sure he has no access to a light where he could get burned. But I know you take care so that it isn't a burn. keep an eye on him for a couple days.

It doesn't look like a bruise to me; more like a small wound or abrasion. Did he fall or injure himself in any way? You could try some regular Polysporin in it but if it does start to get bigger, bleed or get infected a trip to the vet is in order.

Roberta, I agree with Trace. I think it looks more like a sore. I would use the polysporin as Trace suggested and at the first sign of it getting any worse take him to the vets.

I put some of this yesterday night, what do you think? This morning the mark is still there but it doesn't look bigger or bad, keeping an eye on it anyway.

I put some last night, and I checked this morning, the mark doesn't look bigger or worse..

Yeah it just looks like he cut/scraped himself on something. I don't think it's from a cricket; they tend to bite extremities, not faces. Besides a healthy animal, even a sleeping one, will feel a cricket and shake it off. In my experience it's the debilitated animals that get picked on by bugs.

I thought that PolySporin was found in the UK which is why I suggested that one. I think the Savlon antiseptic cream ( http://mccabespharmacy.com/shop/health/first-aid/first-aid-accessories/savlon-cream-15g.html ) would be equivalent to our PolySporin but what you've got would probably be fine too. You basically want to keep that area clean until it heals up. Remove any bugs at night just in case and maybe double check to see if there are any sharp objects in his cage or outside time area.
