Well around the yard there seems to only be 2 types, both grey. Ones that can curl up into balls, and ones that are too flat to do so :)

I’m thinking you have woodlice? Maybe you need a bigger isopod, I was going to purchase some giant canyons soon. Heard they eat like beasts

I believe a. Vulgaris would be a good bet as to ID - I don't think Canyons are found around there. A quick Google search ought to confirm! They're a moderately sized species, and don't seem to get much larger than 1/2 - 2/3".
