So now that i built koopa a new huge cage.. I was wondering if i should put more crickets to up his chance of eating them.. Right now i throw like 5 in there and they are spread out .. Would it be better now to put more??

his cage is 5 ft... and 2.5 ft w by 2.5ft L.. i just think that he might not be eating thm cause they seem to be where he cant really reach.. i just think if thers more he might have better chances//??

and thanks.. i named him after my favorite artist..CHAMILLIONAIRE. AKA KING KOOPA

Oh, I was thinking:

Adding a few more in shouldnt hurt. Are there enough pathways for him to get around comfortably?

ok well starting tomorrow morning im gonna put a lil more in there.. and he has pathways to most of the upper part .. but i spent alot of money making the cage so im waiting till tomorrow to get some more cash to buy him a tree/plant to put in there. so he could get everywhere.. cause as of now i have alot of "blank space" . i wanted to put something that is a pretty good size to take up most of the cage so he can get everywhere. perferrably a tree ... . if you have any suggestions or where i can get it please add..

I just got a ficus tree but it was too bing for my cage, so ima use it for having him outside... but you could get a smaller ficus for the cage or a schefflera which i have too inside.. i got them at a garden shop (not sure how theyre called in english "nurseries" i think) and at walmart too.. you can search at lowes or home depot.. those kind of stores

thanks .. tomorrow morning first thing im going to look for a tree and plants.. another problem i had is having to mist so much. right now im having to spray like 4 or 5 times a day.. just to keep the levels good.. untill i get enough money to get a mister does anyone have any suggestions on another way to keep it moist or homemade maybe?

I use and recommend sticks/vines/branches from outside.
IMO, if you dont have a pothos in the cage, somethings wrong.;)

There is no substitute for misting:eek:
It gets to be a huge pain doing it by hand, thats for sure ;/

A fogger or cool mist humidifier can keep RH levels up, but not like misting.

Live plants are great for keeping the RH up as well.

i was worried about using branches outside because of possible parisites or whatever.. but branches without the leafs sound ok.. and i got a small potho going in the top corner but its small still.

i was thinking of getting a fogger but i was unsure because the top, bottom, left, right, and front are screen and i didnt know if it would matter or not?

If you are worried about branches from outside, they can be sanatized.
There are many methods including rinsing with diluted bleach, and baking.

A fogger will still work in a screen cage.
Especially after a good mist, the water droplets on the screen will hold the fog inside the cage.;) If your RH is to low, using the fogger at different times during the day may help.
