When to lessen food

Hi! So we have had Rango for 2 months now, not entirely sure his age. He’s been eating daily since we got him, I’m wondering when about I should stop feeding daily? I know it says adults 4-5 bugs every other day, but when about would that be?

First picture is when we got him

He’s still got a bit of time before you’ll need to cut back to every other day, or three days a week. For males it’s usually around 10-12 months.
I do have to ask though - are you sure Rango is a boy? I’m not seeing the coloring and patterns that boys have and usually get by about 3-4 months.

Yes I am sure he is a boy. He has the spurs on his back feet

Yup! He’s a boy then. I just don’t see the usual colors and patterns. Usually by about 3-4 months old they are visible. He was super tiny when you got him, so maybe he’s still a bit too young for his colors to come in.
How much are you currently feeding him?

Yeah he was quite small when we first got him, so far he’s shed 3 times. Right now he’s eating about 10-20 crickets a day, he’s picky with silkworms but he does have some, he gets some black soldier fly larvae as well and the occasional wax worm. They are gutloaded and dusted every feed and the other one 2 times a month
