Here are several pics of my favorite Nosy Be showing some very impressive color FINALLY. This guy took 2 yrs to fully mature. I used a mirror to make him flare. Also, my latest Ambanja baby flaring some nice colors for a youngster.

Thank you!!!!!!! He just got upgraded to the 2'x2'x4' enclosure, and a new reptisun uvb 5.0. I also added the 6500k flourescent bulb. Big Blue seems to really love it and so do the plants. Vincent from Screameleons sold me this guy 2 yrs. ago.

The flourescent bulb is good for the plants? Does it also provide the appropriate temp for basking? Or would you need a seperate basking light? I'm just trying to figure out this 6500k light and what it is used for. Thanks :)

Yes, just for plants. It helps a ton, in several days the plants are all making new shoots. However, I also feel it brings out more color because it lights up the enclosure like a Christmas tree. I also use a basking light. Basically, I have 48" T8 fixture, black in color (made by Utilitech) w/ a 48" reptisun uvb 5.0 and a 6500k flourescent. The fixture and 6500k bulb was under $20.00 US. The lighting seems to make an enormous improvement.

The 6500K bulb is for his plants. At least thats why I have two bulbs. One for uvb & one plant grow bulb. It makes life easier on your cage plants.

Thanks for the info guys! I have plants in my enclosure so this will definitely help. I also find my enclosure lacking light so this will help tremedously I'm sure. More shopping to do ... :) Gives a lady an excuse to spend her money haha

No problem at all!!!! Luckily the lighting isn't that terribly expensive. I got the fixture and bulbs at Lowes. It was a great investment. Now I no longer buy a bunch of 18" bulbs, and I cut my bulb expense in half.
