I'm looking to find out what the the best humidity level is for incubating vail eggs. I have 4 females the first 1 laid 47 last night 3 more to go man I'm going to run out of room  LOL. right now I have my incubator set for 80` and @ 60% hum. I cant find any tech. on vails out there.oh and both parents are sunburst/blue cross realy great looking. thanks on any info. Nate

I thought you kept them in moist vermeculite or hatchrite at 76 ish with a lid that has a small hole poked through it. Every now and then you add a few drops of water when it seems to be getting dry...

that temp. is on the low side from all I read between 74 -83 but yes I have droped the temp down to 78 after i though about it. I have fancy computer controled incubators temp. humi. and daily t`timing reg. ect. yes I have trays that slide in and have a 1" or so of a 50/50 vermec. perlite. but i just fill the water res. every so often and its all taken care of .see ya when ya hatched.

So I searched the forums and checked. They should be fine in course grade vermeculite or hatchrite about an inch apart. There should be a very small hole in the lid and the vermeculite should be moist but not drip when you squeeze it. They should incubate around 76 so that they won't develop too quickly as they would at a temp of say 82.
