Hello Everyone! I’m a new cham owner , I’ve read that it’s okay if your cham turns brown when basking. however i haven’t seen a post mentioning if it’s normal if they flare up as well when basking? His temp gauge is around 87 & he’s 5 months

I agree with @SteveH and additionally you do not want the ring light at the bottom. Having lights situated like that is going to make the cham want to go to them. You want them to bask where they have the UVB and the heat they need rather than the led light you have at the bottom on that side panel.

Also looks like you might be running purple/blue LED lights around your room. Make sure you do not run red ones, while they are farther away they can cause issues for their eyes.. Also you want to turn those off the ones you have as well at night when lights kick off on the cage. Need 12 hours light and 12 hours total darkness.

Thank you for the advice!!!

That bamboo ladder is so cool. Just watch out for the ropes on it. Nails can get stuck in the rope and pull out. Also what is the purpose of the black bucket up top by the heat lamp?

You can put a 1” thick board on top of your enclosure and screw eye hooks into it and hang pots with floral wire. I hang all my pothos pots that way. If you would like some photos of the process I’m happy to share. I’m actually doing it on a new cage now
